South Bowie Wins Beltsville Harvest Classic

The South Bowie Boys and Girls Club U-7 Boys soccer team recently won the Beltsville Harvest Classic Soccer Tournament Championship. The Sharks defeated three Montgomery County Mustang U7 soccer club teams, MC-Eppard-Wilcot, 4-2, MC-Kazzi, 5-2, and MC-Thompson, 6-0, to advance to the title game, where they shut out the Greenbelt U-7 soccer club team, 7-0.

The team won the championship with a great team effort on both offense and defense with a total of 22 goals and 4 against.  Team members in the photo are listed from the bottom row left to right: Matthew Thornton, Connor Pollack, Kareem Davis, Sterling Harris II and Joseph Sanford. Top row standing left to right:  Kaodinna Onwumechili, Darrius Jackson, Isaiah Woodley, Quinton Brown and Nathan Woolls.  Back row standing left to right are Assistant Coach, Glenn Woodley and Head Coach, Carl Pollack.  The Coaches and the entire South Bowie Boys and Girls Club are extremely proud of the  U7 boys team which had a great 2010 fall season.

SBBGC participates in County Soccer in the Spring (April through late May) and Fall (Sept through early Nov).
