On Wednesday, June 23, 2010, the South Bowie Sharks 13-U baseball team defeated the Lanham Raiders by the score of 20-9 to become the County Babe Ruth League Champions for a second consecutive year.  Coaches Jonathan Howard and Torrin Travis led the Sharks to a 6-2 regular season which placed the Sharks in the playoffs.  Pitchers Jack Alkire and Kobi Jones pitched a remarkable game and was supported by a cast of great plays and players.  The following are members of the Championship Team.  Jack Alkire, Darrel Boswell, Corey Briscoe, Justen Howard, Kobi Jones, Chrisopher Langreo, Nic Philip, Martrell Royal, Marcus Shellman, Deron Smith, Ian Sullivan, Torrin Travis II and Rakeem Walker.

A double play was turned by Catcher Ian Sullivan and a monstrous hit was delivered by none other than Nic Phillip.
